Title: Falcon House / New Falcon House
Post by: newcollege1981 on August 30, 2015, 09:34:27 AM
I was just wondering if anyone had information regarding on what I would call one of the biggest eyesores in Swindon - Falcon House above Debenhams.

I recall that the owners of the building, UKCPT, were marketing the former office block as New Falcon House, grade A refurbished office space. The refurbishment was likely to take place once a tenant has been found.

After doing a little research I found out that a number of commercial property agents advertising New Falcon House have taken the property off the market. Reasons cited are that the property has either been let, sold or removed from the market altogether.

So, could this possibly be the beginning of the end for this unsightly building or have the owners given up on this crumbling piece of 1960's architecture?

Falcon house is clearly not viable as an office block,I am amazed that they have not tried to turn it into apertments like most of the other older empty offices in Swindon.Somebody is still paying rates for that building!
