I have sents 7 questions to the labour candidate for north Swindon, buts as expected, no reply, so will put the questions on here in an attempt for some labour answer !!
1. what will the difference between the amounts I pay for my council tax and our proposed Garden tax, I presently pay £1775 for my band d house, by how much will this rise under your proposals?
2. under labours open-door immigration policy, how do you intend for the provision of housing for the migrants, their requirements for the NHS, and how will you finance their benefits payments?

Rm 101. Misc. Odds and Ends / road question...
« Last post by Terry Reynolds on November 09, 2019, 08:11:35 PM »
what do the following road in Swindon have in common, this after a good rainfall.
Dorcan Way, Bridge end road, Gypsy lane, Chapel Street, Roundabout by Lidl's.
Yes, all were once again flooded, Gypsy lane across the road, Dorcan Way all the way down the left-hand side of the road,  The roundabout by Lidl's flooding into the dual carriageway, going towards the Transfer bridges.  I dare say if I had gone around other roads in the town, I could have added to this list, but these roads are flooded like this every time it rains, imagine walking down Dorcan way, and getting hit time after time by cars passing in the road,  When is the Council going to stop thinking about revenues from new houses, and put this drainage system to right once and for all, in this day and age, there is no place for soakaways, on our highways.

am watching the town playing at home today vs Plymouth, can see why the ground is nearly empty, not a lot of good football, town scored in the last few seconds of extra time in the first half, nice to see the Stratton bank nearly full for once, wonder why the town let it be shown on live viasat tv??
Rm 101. Misc. Odds and Ends / Mech Instititute.
« Last post by Terry Reynolds on September 27, 2019, 02:31:23 PM »
The council, have now said they want to purchase the Mech Inst, and get it up and running, the last post I read on this, said the repairs alone would come to around £20 million, to get it back to its former glory, still with their present debt of around £300 million and interests payment of around £10 million a year, that's not a figure to worry them, just add it on, will pay another day,  They can't even get the parking issues sorted let alone this mess, face up to facts and pull it down and build something else in its place.
