No, because I know what all that report means, but not many, especially those in dire straits and all the emotional fallout from bullying, would take into account.
The 'victims' would probably not analyse who they were, they would just want help and want it NOW.
The Org is still functioning, using a NCVO number - National Council for Voluntary Organisations membership number.
http://www.ncvo.org.uk/That means nothing really, I have three group memberships to that and never once thought to use them as a 'reference', come to think of it, never seen or noticed any other org use it either. It doesn't give you any more power or any more cover. Not a bad thing to belong to though, good at letting you know what's what in how to run your org and does a bit of lobbying on our behalf too, sells useful publications etc. The helpline does call itself a voluntary org?
We've often had to refer to the Charity Commission web page to sort out what 'rules' apply to unregistered voluntary orgs, as they are to all intents and purposes also 'charitable'. 7F's group is one such. So if you are running a decent org you would still run it on charitable rules. If you reach a certain balance you are required, by law, to register. The document that matters is your Constitution or Memorandum and articles if you are a registered company too.
It's a bit dodgy falling between being a company and a charity, as those involved with the 'Red Brick project' some time ago, found out. I doubt I would be able to find anything about that online it was so long ago, but it ended up a terrible mess and a local 'enquiry' had to be held to find out how things went so wrong with it. That was much the same SBC department, Cllrs, social services etc. being involved with a group - worthy though it as it was neither registered charity nor company. That to me as the only thing wrong with it, no higher authority keeping an eye on it, no proper records being kept - but plenty of charitable work being done. either way you need to be one or the other or both together. To maintain any credibility you should have somewhere, meetings, minutes AGMs's,, to show you run your business and spent donations wisely, properly.
I have a copy somewhere. Even I and other from the then community association had two interviews with the police and we were nothing to do with it! Bit frightening I can tell you, I like my police on the other side of the table telling me what they are up to, not the other way around.
