Very good Geoff! The obvious beautiful weather won't make me come back from my sunny holiday early though.
What's it all about?

I thought Popcorn was played by Hot Butter?

Anyway, when was it in the charts?  The month as well as the year please.

I remember listening to it on a tape following a friend's Morris Oxford down the A39 past Dunster Castle heading east on my first visit to the embryonic West Somerset Railway.  Happy Days!!

and my my Geoff gets a shift on with his cycle

iirc Gershon Kingsley composed it in 1969 and included it on his album of teh same year 'Music to Moog By'

Some time later the track was re-recorded by Gershon Kingsley and his band - I think they were called the 'Moog Quartet' (or similar).  This would have been C.1971

A member of Kingsley's band subsequently re-recorded the track with his own band which was then called 'Hot Butter'. This would have been C.1972/73

I haven't got a clue when it was in the charts and I'm not going to look - try googling it Richard.

To me it just felt like the right bit of short and popsy music to tack onto this bit of video  ))))

Any chance of you putting up your route Geoff,  looks like and interesting walk.
Oi! Listen mush. Old eyes, remember? I’ve been around the block a few times. More than a few. They’ve knocked down the blocks I’ve been around and rebuilt them as bigger blocks. Super blocks. And I’ve been round them as well.  The Doctor (Night Terrors)

It's just under  2.5 miles, (2.42 miles I think), and with the exception of about 250 yards (Old Shaw Lane) is completely on cycle/foot paths (for pedestrians). Cyclists must use the roadway in Spencer Close, Old Shaw Lane and for a short bit just North of Tesco in Shaw.

Will do :)

You managed to go past my house Geoff.... at least I was able to show the video to my wife to prove that I hadn't gone out when I was meant to be decorating while she was away

Hahaha :)  So my perambulations on the Vileoceraptor have proven useful to someone in a sort.of 'Neighborhood Alibi' way!

Correction: Obviously it would be an Anti-Alibi because it would corroborate that you were where you were supposed to be and not proving yourself to be somehwere otjer than where you were accused of being which, in this case, would have been somewhere other than 'at home', which you weren't or. as it were, you was.

I rest my case.....
