Do you know what Outset has to do (if anything) with Forward Swindon?

Outset sounds like the sort of idea and organisation more worthy of tax payers money to me at least...

Outset Swindon is fully funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Swindon Borough Council. The Outset programme gives people in Swindon access to FREE support to start their own business. Services include Information sessions, one-to-one support, business start-up workshops and help with accessing finance.

I'll leave it to Terry to flush out how much they get from SBC. Let's hope he gets an easier ride than when asking questions concerning Forward Swindon!

you couldn't make it up as they say, first they have two outside firms doing the broadband fix and they even denied that when asked, and now they  have two outside firms doing the work to help firms and others to set up in Swindon,

when I asked about the 'grant' for forward Swindon, was told it was nothing to do with the council, they only provide the money, they are it was stated an arms length firm outside of the councils working. and now this on top..

paying out now millions to get rid of the scrap fiasco and yet they cant keep child care centres open.. the mind boggles..
and does the opposition do anything about this latest exposure, answer I bet is zilch... :WTF:

I can't remember Forward Swindon being mentioned in either of the two Outset 'presentations' I heard. In the context of the Adver article, the only link seems to be that Outset has produced an 'entrepreneur' who has aspirations to meet/do something with Forward Swindon.  That may not be Outsets aspiration for him, but his desire alone.

It shouldn't be difficult to find out how much SBC has contributed to Outset, and no doubt the European money may have carried a demand for a certain amount of match funding.

It could also carry a promise that it is pump priming funding and lock SBC into continuing the project after it has run out.  If so at that point we would be fully funding it.

I find that in such projects, no limit is set on people's aspirations, no boundaries set and not a lot of caution applied - 'target' numbers are usually what they are after.

I'm not saying Outset is like that - QED.
Oi! Listen mush. Old eyes, remember? I’ve been around the block a few times. More than a few. They’ve knocked down the blocks I’ve been around and rebuilt them as bigger blocks. Super blocks. And I’ve been round them as well.  The Doctor (Night Terrors)

My "Gravy Train" sensors are twitching like crazy at the moment.

I need some time to look at this but the only YTKO Group registered at Companies House is a start-up, with an address in Middlesex, not Cambridge.

If they are what they say they are, then I'll eat Weebleman's gardening hat!
What's it all about?
