I think he's talking about this

Quote from: BBC
Sunderland have sacked head coach Paolo Di Canio with the Black Cats bottom of the Premier League table.

The 45-year-old Italian has won three of his 13 matches since being appointed in March and taken only one point from five league games this campaign.

Quote from: BBC
Embarking upon his first Premier League job, Di Canio had to fend off questions about whether he held fascist beliefs.

I remember he was the subject of some discussion here a couple of years ago when he became manager of STFC.
We are all in this together, but some of us are more in it than others (with apologies to George Orwell)

Ah, I see.  I hope he isn't invited to goose-step his way back down the Fosse Way to STFC.

Wot?  No yawning smiley?
Oi! Listen mush. Old eyes, remember? I’ve been around the block a few times. More than a few. They’ve knocked down the blocks I’ve been around and rebuilt them as bigger blocks. Super blocks. And I’ve been round them as well.  The Doctor (Night Terrors)

For you, Di Canio, the football is over...

One wonders if he'll be making a guest appearance at a garage forecourt sometime soon...?  >:D
I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it - [attributed to] Voltaire... 'Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessita' - William of Occam.... 'You have a right to feel offended, but just cos you are offended doesn't mean you are right'

Odd things are he kept them up then spent £19m in the summer to, presumably, keep them up.

Someone else has pointed out that Sunderland presumably knew he was daft as a brush when they took him on, 13 matches later, about 20 hours work in our terms, and it's sort of 'Who knew?'

Never mind, the Super Blues will be here soon to, ahem, show us how it should be done. Wonder if they'll coax a word out of Jose?

I may have to go into hiding if they lose as I have been somewhat bullish in voicing my expectations.
Sometimes I think you have to march right in and demand your rights, even if you don’t know what your rights are, or who the person is you’re talking to. Then, on the way out, slam the door.

If Swindon do beat Chelsea, at least Howard Taylor will buy you a pint in the Steam Railway. You can drown your sorrows on the cheap.

C'mon you Blues.

Thank Gawd.
