A day at Lower Shaw Farm: This Sunday, The 5th November

From Matt Holland, Today

....anyone who might be interested about an event at Lower Shaw Farm this Sunday.
In view of the public reactions and interest aroused by the proposal from the Lead Member for Finance  and the Council's Property Department to sell Lower Shaw Farm (it appears that not all councillors and senior council officers are in agreement on this matter) the following event has been planned, and will take place.

LONG LIVE LOWER SHAW FARM - an open afternoon for users, supporters, friends, and anyone interested in the past, present, and future of Lower Shaw Farm.

Everyone welcome!

Come and look, listen, and talk. This will be a timely reminder of what goes on down on this 'farm', an opportunity to celebrate its existence, and discuss its future. - There may be ‘fireworks’!

Time: 2pm - 5pm

Activities may include walks, talks, cups of tea, stew from cauldron over open fire, pizzas fresh from earth oven, live music, rope swinging, chill out in the giant hammock, companionship, friendship, life!

3pm - Public meeting in Cowshed or Big Barn. Listen, or have your say!

Date: Sunday 5th November

Place: Lower Shaw Farm, Old Shaw Lane, Shaw, West Swindon

Further information: telephone 01793 771080 or e-mail

Would you like to come? Hope so! We may a bit better at presenting (the case for) LSF live on this site than through cyberspace on your lively website!
