I've been using Tapatalk on my Galaxy for a couple of weeks and think integrating Tapatalk functionality into TS was worth doing, and the £1.99 it cost to buy the App itself was money well spent.
Since I've had Tapatalk on my phone I haven't accessed Talkswindon using a web browser on my phone at all - just the App. I haven't checked yet but assume I'm using far less of my monthly data transfer allowance than usual, but will report on this at the end of my billing period.
I don't have any real niggles with this app apart from it doesn't auto-refresh 'read topics' immediately after you have read them. I tend to tell it to refresh after each read although I could just as easily wait for it to auto-refresh when I next open the app. (which it does each time the app is started)
You can also set the app to log in automatically to check for new personal messages - this
is useful but I've noticed I now appear to be online when I'm actually in bed which can be a bit of a pain when peeps in my network phone much earlier than usual 'cos they think I'm awake

So far then: A good, useful app which does what it says on the box with minimum fuss.
Would I recommend TS members pay £1.99 for it? - Yes - if you're frequently away from your pc but want to keep abreast of new and ongoing TS topics, then this is a worthwhile purchase, (provided you have an Android, Blackberry or Apple Phone, iPad or tablet). It is possible to dip in and out of TS in a matter of seconds to check for new thread titles and posts, and because the site navigation is very fast, a lot of forums can be grazed through in a short period of time.
The app works on any internet forum which has been made Tapatalk friendly, and you can add as many forum addresses as you like to the log in page of your Tapatalk app.
No. I or TS don't receive any payment from Tapatalk or Android market for recommending the app
