Repatriations/baby news
« on: September 20, 2012, 07:07:04 PM »
Went to the repatriation today, another sad day for the families, and today, I discovered, the chap who I normally stand next to, was in the RAF, and up until he retired, was last flying a vulcan out of a base in Germany.. and he never mentioned it before, just like he got up and rode his bike to work..
he told me , that his mate, was a friend of that lady who has just had a baby in afghanistan, said he ran her a few weeks back and she wasnt in a good mood, when he asked, she told him that the Troop Sgt had it in for her.....

I noticed the Globemaster made several circuits between here and Fairford before land at Brize, was it early ?

the answer Geoff is I dont know, saw it pass over here about 12 40, but when it lands at Brize, it takes about nearly an hour to sort out the flying problem something to do with the chaf stuff it carries as an anti rocket measure..
Over recent weeks I have seen quite a few going over Swindon, either they are now routing them over here on route to Brize, or they are just winding up W Bassett...
