Chippy!

Required, not for large cod and chips, though that would be welcome, mushy peas and brown sauce and a bit of bread and butter .......

Anyway.

I have spent that last few weeks dry lining most of the garage and transplanting the old kitchen to create a possibly over the top walk in larder type thing.

I've been wanging in sockets and timber cladding and basically prepping for the delivery of the new kitchen on the 29th. We've got a B&Q one we've had before but I'll be installing it myself, last time we paid B&Q to do it which ended up in arbitration. We won. So good supplier, keen prices but indifferent trades unless we were unlucky.

The irony was the snagging team were blindingly quick and efficient, wish they'd fitted it in the first place, long story short, I'm fitting the units myself, and the tiles, and the floor and anything else I am directed to.

What I'm after is a carpenter, or anyone with the skills, to fit my worktops, 2 mason joints and a sink cut out, sometime in that first week in October.

My router is too small and I lack the skill / experience. That's probably a subject for another thread though.

Sometimes I think you have to march right in and demand your rights, even if you don’t know what your rights are, or who the person is you’re talking to. Then, on the way out, slam the door.

Cheers, I sense pressure from the supreme being in the household.

Units, tiles, flooring, plumbing and sockets don't worry me a bit but it's all ruined if the worktops aren't right.

I've booked a week off, wish me luck.
