So given Danny's age that's what he should get and he (or anybody else under 35) would have to pay the difference themselves. Je ne comprends pas!

Je ne comprends pas!

No need for that kind of language.

As an observer this provides me with an illustration of the lunatic rules and overly complicated nonsense that stands between people and one of most basic provisions a local authority should be able to provide.

A Council should be able to manage it's housing stock while they are half asleep, sometimes it appears they do, and successive national governments ain't exactly helped.

It's basic bloody stuff and they should have been doing it, and doing it well, for bleedin years instead of which all of the service providers seem to be making it up as they go along. What the hell are they going to do if a couple of thousand homeless types rock up and pitch tents and prove equally assertive?

If there is a lesson to draw from this it is that councils should not be feckin about with WiFi, schools and soddin solar panels. Provide housing and empty the feckin bins.

Sometimes I think you have to march right in and demand your rights, even if you don’t know what your rights are, or who the person is you’re talking to. Then, on the way out, slam the door.

I have tackled both Mr Tomlinson and Mr Bluh about this fraud, Justin said it was expected from Talk Swindon as its full of labour Members and activists

Alas, this is the predictable response gifted to the tories by senior TS members declaring overt political alegiances - but that said, it also reveals that JT is being deliberately (and revlealingly) disingenuous - unless of course he thinks the likes of Mart, Kohima or I, some of TS's longest serving and most regular posters have 'gone Labour'  ::) ...

Danny - if this really hasn't gained any traction with the Adver, I suggest you take it up with the beeb - or failing that, Kohima's bible, aka The Daily Mail - sounds like the sort of story they'd love!
I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it - [attributed to] Voltaire... 'Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessita' - William of Occam.... 'You have a right to feel offended, but just cos you are offended doesn't mean you are right'

If I did have a bible, then can I suggest you use the western daily press much more local and more to the point...
I also sent the original question to the adver as well, so lets see if they run it past the post.

The first opening salvo for the Mart Party at the 2014 Elections, possibly?

You know you could liven things up a tad Mart and possibly get elected as well, so how about it?   >:D

::) Hahaha! Not really in the same league as standing as a local councillor and then getting embroiled in a scandal which made national news, but touche, never the less  >:D

It doesn't seem to have done any harm with my engagement with my local conservative MP - or for that matter Labour councillors interested in local matters...

Well done to Kohima for pushing this wider and following up on Danny's claim. Personally, I remain sceptical, given Mr Lake's previous allegiances with racist groups promoting white supremacy. I'm not entirely sure where fantasy ends and fact begins - but let's see what comes out in the wash.

Daily Mail, Western Daily Press, Swindon Advertiser, and the Graham Mack morning show, and in return I have heard nothing.
I wonder who is controlling these people???>

I can't speak for the other two, I'm not an elected politician after all, but the day I vote for Labour in any of it's incarnations I have experienced will be the day before I give birth.

Oooh no, more ineffectual sniping, but I find it cathartic.

You know you could liven things up a tad Mart and possibly get elected as well, so how about it?

Not a problem, soon as we get a 30 hour day and 9 day week, I'm permanently bolloxed with the life I have now., doubt I'm unique either. There's a lot of running faster to stand still these days.

What pisses me off the most is how Government in all it's guises portrays everything as difficult and complicated, it either isn't, or if it is they should be making it rapidly uncomplicated.

Numpties.

You would think that anybody who said that their party would be fair, not have wind ups about wmds, open door policy on immigration, etc would be on a winner, but no, political dogma will prevail forever and a day.......the last labour mp for swindon south gave away at least 5 or 6 post offices in and around swindon never did anything really about the fare pack scandal, said that morrisons had moved out of swindon because of government policy that had gone wrong, (she did say it was down to DHL) if you check, they moved to a much bigger depot in Bridgewater, nothing to do with failed gov policy... and yet hey ho she is re elected as their candidate for the next election, nobody better, you have to be joking....... :2funny:

For once I find myself agreeing with Kohima when it comes to Ms State Control, Richard. How very un-Lib Dem of me (maybe because I'm not! hehehe)

Message for Mr Lake, can you confirmif you receive the money (£680) from the benefit office and thenpay it to the council, via a rent collector or how is it paid please.  Reason for question will soon become obvious.....
