Swindon, New York and Peckham
« on: May 29, 2012, 06:09:38 PM »
I like to take a paternal interest in how people’s careers are going, so I took a look at Mr Roderick Bluh’s Linkedin website.

http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/roderick-bluh/b/986/b2

It seems that his one remaining Directorship is with a cleaning company, as the Finance Director. The company, IT Cleaning Ltd has two addresses, one is 112 Clifton Street, Swindon, SN1 3QA, where Mr Bluh lives and the other is, 2nd Floor 145-157,St John Street London EC1V 4PY.

http://www.itcleaning.co.uk/contactus.php

As IT Cleaning Services web-site says, “Nationwide Coverage with offices in Swindon and London” we would expect the main office to be in London rather in in Mr Bluh’s modest home, wouldn’t we? I mean who needs secretarial and job scheduling staff milling about when they are trying to eat breakfast? I dread to think what it would be like when the cleaners turn up ready to see where they were going to work each day.

Well, a quick internet “google-fest” shows over one hundred companies sharing the 2nd floor of 145 to 157 St John Street . So either it is a very busy place or it is an address of convenience, or “SAIL” address. By that I mean a company wishing to show that it has status way beyond reality.

Can you imagine the workers turning up each morning for one hundred companies all on one floor of a building and then all IT Cleaning’s cleaners turning up. The rotating door from the street would be going around like a Mississippi Show-boat paddle wheel! So if the office workers and cleaners cannot possibly turn up in St John Street they must join Rodders for breakfast in Clifton Street? (In itself doubtful......no bacon!)

Somehow none of this seems to coincide with reality.

This seems to be supported by IT Cleaning Ltd being “gazetted” today at Companies House, meaning they are going to be struck off of the Companies Register. Whoops, another innovative, vibrant, go-ahead, Swindon & London company going down the tubes.

Perhaps Rodders can now concentrate all of his energy on new a commercial venture that someone else can pay for?

School in a box anyone?

School in a box indeed.

Come ye one... come ye all... see the shed...

Going for only 2/3 of the price of a normal build..( just don't count the foundations..) and it's supposed to last for 60 years.

Alternatively, a more discerning buyer could nip down to Ikea or B&Q and knock one up...

But the sting in the tail is... what if some unsuspecting buyer falls for 'Class Solutions' and there is a problem with the purchase ...

Who is liable?

Who indeed...

I just got a 7 x 5 shed for 200 nicker.

P'raps we've been overcharged a smidge.

I'm minded of a variation of the Midas touch, everything touched turns to kaka, expensive visionary and vibrant kaka, but kaka nonetheless.
Sometimes I think you have to march right in and demand your rights, even if you don’t know what your rights are, or who the person is you’re talking to. Then, on the way out, slam the door.

Emperor's new clothes comes to mind.

Is anyone in the inner circle willing to tell him?

Because the hoi polloi already are...

Does anyone know how many Orders/Customers there are for 'Garry's School in a Box'?

With Rod's financial experiance and expertise you know it will be value for money.

PS what happened to Wi-fi?
