Problems with TS
« on: March 11, 2012, 05:10:40 PM »
I seem to have lost my smileys and my text edits (quotes etc) - as well as my ability to modify my post when I spot a spelling mistake.

Anyone else got the same problem?

(would add a shruggy smiley, but can't!)

I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it - [attributed to] Voltaire... 'Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessita' - William of Occam.... 'You have a right to feel offended, but just cos you are offended doesn't mean you are right'

I can't duplicate this problem  ???

Anyone else have the same symptoms?

edit: Nope, made my account identical to yours and have full functionality.  :-\

I log in sometimes, get a stack of unread ravings ramblings polemics insightful insights to read, I click on one, get moved to reply and then get told to log on again.

If the cure involves more than shouting I probably won't bother.

I'm a bit anti smiley. I wouldn't miss them. I don't use 'LOL' either.

Bugger.
Sometimes I think you have to march right in and demand your rights, even if you don’t know what your rights are, or who the person is you’re talking to. Then, on the way out, slam the door.

Could it be browser related?  (Had this problem on a different forum once; worked OK with one browser but not another).

(Working OK for me with Chrome).

I lost me smileys a while back.
I think they came back just as mysteriously as they vanished.

I started a thread about it called "Ouch I've Lost Me Smileys" (or something similar)

Can't remember if the solution is on the thread or not
Proud to be gone

Eeek! Tobes. Crop circles, vapour trails in the sky and now your smileys disappear. Rob must surely know which alien life-force is at work?
What's it all about?

It could be the result of the recent solar flashes  :o

No answer for this problem at present.

Apart from moving another couple of years of topics onto the archive server yesterday, nothing else has been altered.

We are due to upgrade the forum software again soon, let me know if this happens again and we'll bring the upgrade forwards.

I've given up "flashing" these days Chav. Mrs Outoftowner thinks it a wasted attempt at attention seeking!
