Just collected 2 tickets at the Wyvern, Had to pay £1.50 a ticket for the privilege of using a debit card.
That's 7.89%!

I always thought that "extras" were only incurred if you use a credit card rather than a debit card. I know that some small shops have to add a charge if plastic is used because the bank deducts fees from their account. Is there a sign at the Wyvern that indicates that they charge extra? Seems wrong to me.

Sadly not, I've been charged for the privilege of using a debit card to buy concert tickets at several theatres/concert halls.
I think there's meant to be a new law that will prevent this from happening with debit cards (it's why easyjet now have a flat administration fee instead of a card fee).
