Contrary to Beehive folklore, I'm pretty confident neither Ann Snelgrove or Smartstuff99 or Chris wossname live in hollowed-out volcanoes  ;D

Do you know what, I agree with all of the above with the exception of 'Unionists'.

I've been a member of various trade unions since I started work and over the years each of them has provided legal advice and representation, representation in my workplace and assisted in receiving compensation for injuries caused by employers negligence.  Unions have negotiated with my employers to get better & safer conditions in my workplace and supply a range of other services to their members.

I don't see my membership of a trade union as being substantially different than anyone else's membership of any other professional body although over the past few years I've noticed more people saying the term 'Trade Unionist' in the same tones as a 1960's London Landlady might have hissed "No Blacks, No Dogs and No Irish".

I may not be massively active on the Trade Union front, nor do I necessarily agree with some of the politics at the top end, but attacking 'Unionists' en-masse is little different than Kohima's one-size-fits-all approach to Muslims  :-\

The labels may have changed and focus shifted slightly, but the song remains basicly the same.

Er, perhaps I'd better say what sort of "Unionists"  I don't particularly like:

Quote
Divided Unionists

Mr Paisley was by no means the only unionist who thinks the result of the referendum is a travesty against unionism.

That's Mr Ian Paisley of Northern Ireland disliking the way a referendum had gone. i.e. not in his favour and therefore not valid in his opinion.

I think the words, "Political Extremists" cover them and their ilk, as not many would want a "union" with them. I hope.

Caveat: I'm not saying all unions are useless - just that the union I joined was about as useful as a fart in a spacesuit when push came to shove.

If unions got on with representing their members rather than pontificating about political policies which sometimes have little or nothing to do with their members emplyment issues, maybe more peole would join unions and we'd have a more pleasant working environment in the UK.

Tobes, I didnt put forward that Mr Fox should be defended, he did wrong, he knows he did and he has paid the price, what I did say, is that while people like Mr Murphy, are chasing Mr Fox to the ground, he and many others said nothing while hundreds of people were killed by either neglect or just plain bad man management, and nobody was taken to task for that either, so why the difference in treatment, or was it because it would have shown them up as bad managers.. as for the brand muslims as the same, there is a good  email going the rounds, about a lady in Canada who complained on how they were treated once sent back to Afghanistan, send me your email details Geoff and Ill send you a copy..........

Sorry K - read your post three times and I'm clueless as to what you're talking about.

Who's Murphy?
Who was killed by bad management?
What on earth has an email about a woman from Canada being sent to Afghanistan got anything to do with anything we've discussed?

 :WTF:

Mr Murphy, is the labour mp, who is on the media, nearly every hour ranting about Mr Fox,
In the Dartford hospital case, there were over 100 killed by the bug MSRA, which the hospital did or did not do anything about to cure it of its ills,
In the Stafford hospital, over a period of time, over 700 people died due to neglect caused mainly by the hospital trying to run to the agreed levels of times etc, how many hours do you wait etc.
the lady from Canada, wrote to the US gov, and complained about about how the insurgents were being treated, when sent back to Afghanistan, and the email is the reply she got..
Hope this is clear for u, if not try the redirection route and shout louder.......
(when I said in the blog, they were sent back to Afghan etc, I meant the muslims\insurgents).
And remember I am a Daily Panic reader.... :2funny:

I wasn't being rude Kohima - I genuinely had no idea what you were talking about, i was not trying to 'redirect' (? Although I'm not really sure what you mean by that either?)

Try to read your posts as though you were in someone else's shoes and imagine if they made any sense unless they happened to be sitting in front of exactly the same newspaper at a given moment as you are. References certainly help. As do descriptions. Otherwise things you write are bound to be a bit incomprehensible.

You've been sending me unsolicited emails for several years and to be honest I'd rather you didn't.  The last one was a bit on the bigoted side for my tastes.

The one thing I find funny about all this, is so many have replied with cause to say they cant read it, or they dont understand it, it may not be good reading for those voters who are on the side of the original writer, but nobody has replied with reason or comment on the points I have raised about her 'untruths'.
She after all, said in her reply and the blog site, that she wouldnt reply to opinion put as fact, but consider,
Brown did go to Brookes wedding, he did send an invite to her for a weekend sleepover, he did send get well and good wishes letters to gaddafhi, bliar did go to see the man before the lockerbie bomer was released, in fact  Gaddafhi even sent his own plane to pick him up, Ive put the details of how the surrey police acted in 2002, and the gov of the day did nothing, Ive put how Morrisons closed thier depot and moved to Bridgewater, and closed smaller depots, just like B & Q have done, and the Co-op are going to do, thats not opinion but fact, and then to cap it all she says she never said anything about insults, and her final sentence in her letter says just that
But nobody has come back and made actual comment, just loads of  'I cant read that'
End of.............

Kohima, can you not see for yourself what people mean,

They ARE trying to engage with your postings.

But it's not the content they wouldn't understand but the presentation of it, that makes it so diffuclt to read....

If TS'rs were as bad as you say, they would just leapfrog your postings and talk one another, but not you at all.

They leapfrog enough of mine, but I'm not quibbling!
Oi! Listen mush. Old eyes, remember? I’ve been around the block a few times. More than a few. They’ve knocked down the blocks I’ve been around and rebuilt them as bigger blocks. Super blocks. And I’ve been round them as well.  The Doctor (Night Terrors)

Kohima, Workers at the other B&Q sites were offered a chance to move warehouses and in some cases even re-locate (as some workers did).  However as far as I'm told, a good deal of workers took the redundancy and stayed where they are.

Seeing as the the contract has migrated from Wincanton over to DHL, Wincanton staff were given the option to move. This also applies to current DHL staff (which quite a few have moved over) the point is its creating jobs in one area I.E Swindon, whilst its good news for swindon and bad news for the Chepstow Hub......they were offered jobs at the South Marston park.

The workers themselves decided what to do.

Just thought I'd pick up on that point and see were it goes (if it takes off ill ask admin nicely to break it off)

Anyway back to the original point of the topic, Kohima would you be willing to post a copy of the reply from Anne Snelgrove? So we can all judge it in an unadulterated light?

And as for posting comments on her blog, its private, its hers, she can do what she wants with it. Its the same as my blog, I have to approve all comments manually (but its mainly for spam control) I do get the occasional comment but nothing of substance just a little bit of flaming now and then. Your thoughts?

Read thread no 25 on this log and read that she says she wont reply to insults,
and then read the letter reprinted, also on this log, and the last sentence says she didnt say anything about insults,, Im told by a worker at B & Q, there are several lads there from coventry, so they got a job, as have those who transferred to Bridgewater.
I wonder if Mr Brown is now sending letters of sympathy to his wife and family, who have now also been captured, according to the yahoo news thread..

Well did you insult her Kohima? She's under no obligation to reply if you insult her, very similar to you and me.

I don't quite get the last part of your post, to be honest iraq? Afghanistan? B&Qistan?

I put in my comments the ones that I have put on here, I did make comment also about her blog, in which she implied that she lost her seat, because she had brought up the wifi deal, no mention of her party's financial mess or her hypocritical stance on the post office closures and the photos outside the post office..
as for the other, yes i did run two things into one there didnt I, the first was the point that coverntry workers had come down here, and the second followed on about the news that Gaddafhi is dead..
