Used to be a Bowen family down in Hughes Street when I was growing up, the children (if there were any) were older than me though so can't remember their names.
Oi! Listen mush. Old eyes, remember? I’ve been around the block a few times. More than a few. They’ve knocked down the blocks I’ve been around and rebuilt them as bigger blocks. Super blocks. And I’ve been round them as well.  The Doctor (Night Terrors)

Kohima if they were married wouldn't it make more sense to look through the scott's as she may have taken his last name .

yes. but thought I would go down the bowen road first, tried those you put up , no help, the first one, a lady answered, and I explained that I was looking for a Pat Bowen who married in berlin etc, she remarked that she had never been to Bradford, and put the phone down !!.
might try an ad in the adver to see if it gleems anything, our friend around the corner, said that when she was working, two girls by that name, bowen, worked with her, but cant find them in the book now.
will plod on, many thanks anyway..

A letter in the adver might be a better idea, I've seen a few from people who were stationed in and around Swindon looking for someone.

Have you tried Registry Office? I believe you can get basic info from them. Local one should help, or advise.

Perhaps the best bet would be to check the archives for Marriages which took place at Miton Rd in those years; you would only need the surnames of both.
