Talking about art - well clipart.....

I've spent all morning looking for a clipart (jpg) of a sun - rising or setting - I want one like those we all had on our bedspreads a few years ago.

I also want a white swan rampant  or a black swan rampant or both, but not together.

Any links would be much appreciated.

As long as they've sorted out the drinking and transport 'issues', it should be a nice day.

Mini Big Arts Day:

Quote
VISITORS to Swindon this weekend will enjoy a taste of some of the top cultural events coming to the Big Arts Day at Lydiard Park.

Swindon Does Arts, a partnership between Swindon Council and local arts organisations, had originally staged last year’s festival as a one-off.

But because of popular demand, it’s back on Saturday, July 9.

To promote the big day, a Mini Big Arts Day will take place tomorrow afternoon outside Debenhams, in The Parade, with musicians and other performers entertaining shoppers.

Helen Miah, head of culture at Swindon Council, said: “The aim is to promote the main event the following Saturday and to bring something into the town centre.

“It is like little tasters of things that will be on offer on the Big Arts Day. We have given it a young people’s focus to give young people an opportunity.

“The Big Arts Day has got a very strong family feel, but it’s also an opportunity for youngsters to have a first taste of what it’s like to perform in a festival.

“The mini event should be fun. We will be giving out the programmes for the Big Arts Day so they will be the first people to see the full programme.”

The show, supported by Holmes Music, will run from noon until 4pm, and will feature a line-up of singing and dancing, as well as rock bands and a DJ.

The acts taking part are Stating the Truth, Crystal, Shudders, Stage Coach, and HotSteppers.

New and upcoming DJ, Korim Miah, will also be mixing dubstep with his own material, in what will be his first live set.

Creative and media students from Isambard School, Dorcan Technology College and St Joseph’s Catholic College will also be promoting the big event.

They have designed posters, made videos and composed and recorded a radio jingle.

The students will be taking part in a host of marketing stunts.

They will be moving through the crowds wearing various promotional costumes, ranging from sandwich boards to graffiti-covered suits and giant cartoon heads.

I don't mean to be cynical, but would 'Korim Miah' be any relation to 'Helen Miah'?

Then you go and spoil it all by saying something simple - like nepotism!

Then don't be.  In all probability Korim will be related, but as Jean says it has ever been thus.  I know it's easy to be 'picky' you probably beat a host of others to the draw but can't we just be nice - sometimes (Gary Perkins and Rod bluh excepted)  >:D

I took my grandson last year. I enjoyed the time I was there for. It was quite a hot day if I recall.
I bumped into Poemogram who perfomed a poem for me about. A woman who wore purple. He made me wear a hat to  :azn:

I also enjoyed the swindons got tallent entrants who were performing.
I took my grandson home in the end as he had a few paddys and on the way home he threw up in the back of the car.
I am taking him again this year and a bucket just in case

I didn't.   Bit of a job getting over there and then the miles of walking put me off.

Not bad. But lots and lots of litter and traffic problems, unfortunately. Couldn't the government introduce mandatory 'use a bin' lessons?
