Forest Festival
« on: August 31, 2006, 10:02:13 PM »
2nd September sees this year's Forest Festival at the Lawns in Old Town. This year's theme is climate change, so of course Swindon Climate Action Network will be there asking people to make pledges to do specific little things to reduce their energy use.

There'll be plenty of other tree-related things to see and do there, and other not so tree-related things - I particularly like the people who come up with all sorts of ingenious ways to use bikes to generate electricity.

Regular readers of Talk Swindon will no doubt be aware that parking space is at a premium in Old Town, so if you reallly must go by car, please use the park & ride at the Nationwide office in Piper's Way.

See you there?

I will be at Prospect Hospice Garden Fete (which is not very well advertised).

You can get to it from the same park and ride as goes to the Forest Festival. (Though there is no mention of that on the park and ride signs)
