I haven't been able to make the format of the newsletter very coherent this time, so here are some of the linked items.  Margie

The Conservative / Liberal Democrat coalition government has published the Protection of Freedoms Bill 2011:

It takes 140 pages of legislation to undo some, but not all of the previous Labour government's excessive and repressive Database
State legislation. This Bill needs your expert scrutiny, because there are crucial repeals and reforms which are missing from it and, on past
performance, many backbench MPs (from all parties), are unlikely to bother to read, let alone understand, it all.

The Cabinet Office has set up a website where you can comment on each clause of this Bill:
