- Could you be a Paranormal Investigator?

Do you want to find out more about becoming a paranormal investigator? Paranormal Site Investigators (PSI) has been scientifically investigating ghosts in the Swindon area since 2004.  Come along to our Introduction Evening if you want to find out how to become a PSI investigator.

- Wiltshire's Paranormal Folklore
Hayley Stevens, 7.30pm, Swindon Central Library
Wiltshire Phenomena Research have been investigating Wiltshire folklore since 2005.  Group founder Hayley Stevens will be talking about their latest folklore Project Pied Piper, including the mysteries surrounding sites like Avebury, Parsonage Woods and Cley Hill.

Wednesday 27 October
- Ghost Walks of Old Town
At various times throughout the day and evening
Why not take a gentle amble along Old Town's High Street, Newport Street, Devizes Road and Lawn Park to discover the ghosts of the dozen allegedly haunted locations.  This walk includes exclusive access to the allegedly haunted, and normally locked, Lawn Chapel.

Thursday 28 October - Haunted Swindon
Nicky Sewell, 7.30pm, Swindon Central Library
The Haunted Swindon Project has been investigating local hauntings since 2006 and has published a website, book and DVD on the subject.  Come along to hear about a few of Swindon's noteable hauntings.

- Ghost Walks of Highworth
At various times throughout the day
Highworth's High Street is the single most allegedly haunted street in the Borough of Swindon, with seemingly every other building having a story attached to it! This walk also includes exclusive access to the allegedly haunted, and privately owned, Highworth Tunnels.

Hour-long sessions starting at various times in the evening.
Visitors will spend an hour learning about practical ghost hunting and attempting to see if they can experience the ghosts others have in the past. 
There is Goldsmiths College University of London research taking place at these events, and everyone is encouraged to take part.

Family-friendly Halloween fun from noon until 4pm.
Find out about the ghosts and monsters of Lydiard Park in a family-friendly way.

Live Paranormal Investigation at The Vic, Old Town, by South West Paranormal Investigations (S.W.P.I)
Investigating previously unsubstantiated ghost sitings and strange occurrences.
To be filmed for a new TV show showing later this year.

20 to 31 October - Youth Halloween Drawing and Writing Workshop and Competition
Please note this is not a PSI event, we take no responsibility for non-PSI events.
On 20th October young person's illustrator and author Cathy Brett will be doing a FREE Halloween writing and drawing workshop.  This is taking place at the Central library from 5-7pm, and tickets will be available nearer the time
Over the last two weeks in October Swindon libraries will be holding a competition to design your own vampire costume!  You can design the whole outfit or just an item of clothing.  Prizes include signed Rachel Caine books & gothic Ts. 
The overall winner will receive £20 worth of high-street vouchers as well!
