This online petition has closed with over a million signatures on it. It must be a newspaper being read far wider than you imagine.

Bizarre?
Most of the signatures are international.
I guess it's mainly repetitionr.com that has the global following,  but even so.........?
Proud to be gone

Not sure if this is the right spot but wil go ahead anyway..
have just checked the adver web page, to see if there was any more comments about the croft outburst\council meeting, it was under the heading of most read\comments story, but heyho, this link and others have now been deleted on a revamp today. so you cant read about the blogs anymore, the latest one, as I remember, asked if the input by Oliver etc was direct from the council, so perhaps they have pulled a few srings and got the site deleted..
jmust be me, I phone the adver to ask about this and was told i must have pressed the wrong key, have now been back on the web site and heyho its back.........

I stopped my home delivery service of the SIX nights SN Sadver ... in December, but they were still taking my eight quid on two further four week periods? Anyway, after phone calls I managed to get the info that when you begin the contract it takes EIGHT weeks to get the Direct Debit going!

I have a confession ... I bought a couple of odd Advers over Christmas, then ... early February, a pleasant lady from the said rag, rang me about reconsidering my account, with the first week free!  I was given the information that I could just take the paper for three selected days a week, if I wished ... and, I did just that ... Wednesday, Friday and Saturday! At least I don't have to view Tory politicians false photos anymore than three times a week now! :knuppel2: My DD is not yet running though!

Just had my adver delivered, along with a note from the editor, to say they have to move into the next generation, so the price is going to increase now to 65p per day, that's more than I pay for either the mail or the express, and only a drop smaller than the telegraph.  Have the owners lost the plot, 65p for that, and Monday its only about 6 pages of adverts.. on line from now on!!!!!!

Me too Ko, but the paper only cost 45p today - the rest must be the delivery.

I like to provide jobs and work experience so I will pay up and look big, and you don't get all the little items, hatched, matched and dispatched online.

Why is it we know more of the dispatched these days?
Oi! Listen mush. Old eyes, remember? I’ve been around the block a few times. More than a few. They’ve knocked down the blocks I’ve been around and rebuilt them as bigger blocks. Super blocks. And I’ve been round them as well.  The Doctor (Night Terrors)

::)Is this correct ... I guess you have the proof in your hand ... for the Sadver, that is commercial suicide and would seem to go against a lot of what they are trying to preach?

I guess, that will mean an immediate cancellation of my subscription along with what I guess will be a majority? Bearing in mind it takes around eight weeks to play catch up with the Direct Debits ... I hope they've given some notice? The offices will be pretty busy on the blower! :bash:

Have you seen: How much more can the Adver put up its price before you stop reading?

I'll probably move the last 4 or 5 posts into that thread a bit later. :)
