Which Conservative is up for Election this Time?
« on: March 06, 2010, 06:15:03 PM »
Does anyone know?

I have been to a few Full Council meetings over the last two years and have never seen Councillor Ian Dobie in attendence.

Has he resigned?

'Tis Mr twitter Renard that is up this year; Mr Dobie has another year to go.

Mr Dobie's attendance record is poor: 33% of meetings (5 out of 15) in 2007, 77% (10 out of 13) in 2008, 56% (5 out of 9) in 2009.

Must have been there when I wasn't there then Komadori.

do you think these attendence figures are acceptable?

In the absence of any other information, 33% - no; 77% - yes; 56% - given that he only had 9 meetings to attend, no.

If Cllr Twitter is defeated what will he do? No more pressing meetings  with cabinet colleagues to discuss issues facing Swindon to deal with :-\

I think Cllr Renard will do well.
I can't speak for everyone, but from what people I know who live in the Haydon Wick area tell me  - he is very well respected  :)
I quite like him as a person too  :)

As for Twitter, I think Mr W has now got the bug  ;D
He came along to the Penhill Question Time event and was tweeting non-stop apart from when he kindly took photo's for me.   :azn:
