I see a great photo in the link magazine of Carline Hunt and Jennie McCreedy (SBC, but for how much longer????) with Bill Fisher of SCS opening Shaw Ridge play area..........................
.........the slide slide was burnt to crisp over the week end, it hadn't even been in a month :bash:

what a shame, all that effort by Caroline and Jennie (two of the most pleasant, proffessional and committed council workers around) in transforming countless play areas giving fun and good times to countless kids only to be stabbed in the back by polititians and then by the very kids they have tried to help. how they do what they do and not lose all enthusiam is beyond me, it really is.

Chins up ladies, your efforts are not forgotten, I and many of my colleagues who work in the play parks you have recreated applaud you

No teaboy, not destroyed by the kids they did it for -  one or two maybe that would never appreciate anything like that. Probably older than the play ground was for.

Like you said chin up Caroline and Jennie, other appreciate you too - asnd know how co=operative you can be.  Save our decent SBC empoyees!
Oi! Listen mush. Old eyes, remember? I’ve been around the block a few times. More than a few. They’ve knocked down the blocks I’ve been around and rebuilt them as bigger blocks. Super blocks. And I’ve been round them as well.  The Doctor (Night Terrors)

If you're referring to the Hook Street story, the caption to the top picture says it was taken before the planning committee meeting. Scroll down the article for the victory smiles image.
