Well it certainly going to have an impact on the volume of traffic on Tadpole Lane, which is already lethal with hairpin bends and a speed limit of 60mph, with vehicles over taking at very high speeds.

Then there is the 'school safety zone' which doesnt work, as vehicles are still driving at high speeds and over taking the minibuses that turn into the learning campus, with disabled kids on board.

The speed limit was supposed to be being reduced to 50 mph within this financial year. TBH, I don't think this is going to happen, as SBC are as skint as a Uni student trying to pay off their loans.

I recon they will hold out for the houses to be built - and if this is the case, then it will change the dynamics of the situation, as 'rural' will become 'urban', so therefore, those 'road gods' at SBC need to think long and hard about reducing that speed limit to 30 mph.

Anyone know when there is going to be a consultation /meeting regarding the build on Tadpole Farm ?

Please do let me know  ;)

According to a post made by Bernie Brannan on www.westswindonforum.org the subject is on the agenda for resident to discuss this with the West Swindon councillors at January's West Area Cluster (CP2) meeting.

I expect the discussion will be quite lively as it the West Swindonites will bear the brunt of increased traffic and drain on resources and amenities :)

Drain being one of the operative words I imagine.

Still, be able to call out the Water Board on the Interweb for free!

as SBC are as skint as a Uni student trying to pay off their loans.

Or a bank paying bonuses?

Sometimes I think you have to march right in and demand your rights, even if you don’t know what your rights are, or who the person is you’re talking to. Then, on the way out, slam the door.
