TSTV Interview: 'On The Front Bench With Cllr Peter Greenhalgh'

On The Front Bench With Cllr Peter Greenhalgh

Councillor Greenhalgh

Councillor Peter Greenhalgh is the SBC cabinet member for Transport and strategic planning.  He controls a budget of millions, takes decisions and implements policies which affect the entire Borough of Swindon and everyone in it, holds down a full time job, finds time to attend his council council & committee meetings.....and is rearing a young family.

We thought it would be interesting to get to know Councillor Greenhalgh a bit better and find out what impact his council duties have on his home and working lives, so we asked if we could interview him for TSTV.  We're pleased to tell our members that Councillor Greenhalgh has agreed to be TSTV's very first video guinea-pig  :)

We'll be interviewing Cllr Greenhalgh in about a weeks time, so if you'd like to submit a question for our interviewer to consider asking Cllr Greenhalgh, please submit it via email to tstv@talkswindon.org

(we would prefer email submissions for ease of collation. Questions publicly asked in forum postings are unlikely to be used in the interview)

..and yes, before anybody asks, we will also be inviting councillors from other political parties to be interviewed, but obviously couldn't guarantee doing the entire council if there was a sudden surge of interest  ;D

www.talkswindon.org is a venue, not a person or political entity. As such, it hopes to encourage input and discussion on any topic, from all walks of Swindon life.

I have also emailed a question in and look forward to viewing the video interview.

I suppose an interview with Barrie Thompson is out of the question, but who's acting as his proxy in Parks?.

I too have emailed a couple of questions. It will be interesting to watch the interview as I am
very interested in body language and non-verbal communication.
So Peter , I shall be watching to see if you roll your eyes when my questions are put forward LOL
and if you do, no matter how much you smile as you speak, I will know that you will really be thinking 'that bloody woman from Penhill again LOL'
I am only joking Peter . In fact I think you are a very brave man to be the first to be interviewed. Fair play to you and I look forward to seeing the interview.

I don't see a reason why you can't ask a question, it's open to all, the only comment that I'd add is that we can't guarantee that all questions will be raised during the interview, that will depend on how many questions we get etc.

Is this happening then Geoff or is PG invoking the election?

It's happening, in fact the list of people stepping up and asking ' Would TSTV interview me too?" is growing steadily  :)

PG hasn't invoked anything, but I seem to be invoking the 'otherwise committed' an awful lot recently  :-\

We will do these interviews and suchlike, honest.  :)
