money spent....
« on: April 11, 2016, 01:20:44 PM »
Have just a trip from greenbridge roundabout, to B & Q and back home and would report the following:
Gypsy land flooded both sides of the gas club roundabout,
the dual carriage way by the Oasis flooded on the petrol station side,
the dual carriage way outside T Max, flooded all the way along to the transfer bridges
Greenbridge roundabout now down to one lane, and some chaos, Gypsy lane if backed up the greenbridge roundabout.
The dual carriage way, leading up to Stratton x roads, is blocked back to Jewsons every night, due to congestion at the x roads.
so they spend millions on the roundabout, when some serious lane drills would solve the problem, the flooded roads mentioned, are like that every time it rains, and the white hart roundabout is a nightmare, with traffic at times backed up to the acorn bridge, but hey it must be that councillors use the greenbridge roundabout so lets spend millions on that.
have a nice and wet day.. :WTF:

Interesting that Great Western Way was flooded near to the Oasis, but Bruce Street wasn't.

Drains near to the Oasis must be blocked due to lack of maintenance.

The roadway at the bottom of the road by the Bridge which used to take the railway trucks into rover, the 4 drains there, are all soak away types of drains so when it rains they cant cope and flood, it only lasts until the rain stops and then clears, not a big problem but one that happens every time it rains, and needs sorting, the gutter round the oasis on the day were full of rubbish, not been swept for ages, and so the drains again cant cope with the blockage, as I said in my email, preventive  chores need to be done on a regular basis, and this council is not doing it, and now they want the 'parish' to do it..
