I was referring to Mr Baldry in the readers comments section.
However, the Adver' to seem to be rather more tolerant of his attempts to antagonise various people so it wouldn't be a big surprise if he did replace Mr Benke as a journalist.

I fail to see how this action can be anything other than a method to increase council tax for no extra service.
I'll wager there will be an even worse service because council tax will rise to cover the additional bureacracy, councillors will blame the parishes when anyone challenges them (they do like to play at being a "plastic Westminster)
There will be more time than ever wasted on fighting over budget allocation.

Well, well, well, what a surprise.

Get it done and dusted by April in the hope that either people forget about it by the elections (I assume there must be some SBC elections in 2017) or it's too late to do anything about it.

I thought thee would be at least some Cllr election next year, but I'm told the next election will be in 2018, but Ill keep the memory alive for that......
regarding the letters section, various people have been writing in, the last few days, to say what a lovely item it is and should be both read and praised, well every time I now attempt to put a letter in, its blocked and of late, the ones who get letters printed are either des morgan or someone writing back to say he is either right or wrong.. so much for democracy..

Another community in Swindon don't like the parish council plans and feel that it is very much a done deal.

On reading the comments to that article, it appears that Swindon Borough Council have made it very complicated to find the links needed to register comments.
Then David Renard has gone to the media claiming that there are very few objections.

Bad times ahead for all of Swindon.

The one very small consolation is that the usual Adver troll will later regret his (failed) attempts to divert the topic etc
